After Tom Thomson:

Tom Thomson was a great Canadian landscape painter who died at a young age. I am especially fond of his loosely brushstrokes and how he boldly designed to put colours together and presented to us the beauty of Canada.
Thomson made a lot of small pochade paintings en plein air. These paintings were meant to be sketches for producing larger finer instudio paintings later. However they simply turn themselves into samll msaterpieces
There are already a lot of information about him in books and on the web so I won't repeat them here.

I rencently painted a series of small landscape paintings after his well-known style. They are a lot of fun.
