Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 22" x 60" Comments: This is the largest painting I attempted to paint en plein air. The alley is really narrow with snow piled up. My back was against someone's garage door and I had to stand on a hill of snow. And I had to constantly move my easel to allow other cars to pass. I was even called to help a lady push our her car because it got stuck. It felt like painting on a kite because of its size and the windy condition. The painting was eventually painted in studio, but the drawing was completely done en plein air. I was able to minimize the panorama distortion by painting en plein air. sold |

Medium: Oil on canvas Dimensions: 30" x 72" Comments: At this stage I was painting as though I was writing, near the completion of the painting, the reference painting was almost not relevant to me at all. It is interesting how in the my series, highlights kind of disappear in the end. |
